Nannen Preis 2020
Shortlist
I'm shortlisted for the Nannen Preis 2020 in the category Reportage Photography with my 11 pages publication Heart of a Seal / Auf dünnem Eis in stern magazine. The Nannen Preis is named after the founder of stern magazine, Henri Nannen. It is known as the most significant award for journalists in Germany.

Grant
I'm one of five early career follow up grantees. I got awarded 2500€ which helps funding my new Greenland project The Last of Their Kind. Sadly I have to postpone it's start by a year through Covid-19.

Residency

Bachelor Exhibiton
Exhibition
I finished my Bachelor with my personal project Paradise about my difficult time in school which I will continue working on in the future. We exhibited our Bachelor projects at the GAF - Galerie für Fotografie in Hanover.
I started studying Photojournalism and Documentary Photography back in 2012 at the Hochschule Hanover - University of Applied Sciences and Arts and from there it was a long and intensive way to my Graduation. I did a year abroad at the Danish School of Media and Journalism and internships at the Center for Investigative Reporting in the San Francisco Bay Area and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and I'm glad for all the experiences I had.
